apple blossom

Snapped this one in March of 2005. It caught my attention again this evening while flipping through all my other photos...

Skydivers

A couple of photos of the skydivers during the Oregon International Airshow, 2006. It seemed like these guys were falling about 1,000mph. They came screaming straight towards earth and popped the parachutes at what had to be the last available moment.

"Cool Blue Reason"...

...is the name of a really sweet Cake song. It was the first thing that came to mind after openning this one on my computer. If you can't tell, that is my water bottle sitting in an upside-down frisbee.

Side note: Cake has been, is, and will always be a very big influence in my both my drumming and bass playing abilities. If you're not savvy, check out: http://www.cakemusic.com/

everytime i make the journey
to that perfect state of mind
i reach the level that i want to see
but then i float on past
further from what ever should be

American League

So, the A.L. wins the All-Star game...congrats!!! This was the every first time that I was actually excited by watching any all-star game. Young with a sweeeet clutch hit to win the game was amazing, but...let us consider another scenario. Bottom of the ninth, no outs...first pitch: called, striked one. Second pitch: called, strike two. Third pitch: called, strike three. Bottom of the ninth, one out...first pitch: called, strike one. Second pitch: called, strike two. Third pitch: called strike three. Bottom of the ninth, two outs. First picth: called: strike one. Second pitch: called, strike two. Thitd pitch (A.L. fans rejoyce!!!): called: strike three. EPIC!!! My vote for All-Star MVP....Mariano Rivera.

Tonight, I am ashamed that I cheered for that cock sucker...I'll roll over in my grave before giving any approval to those Yankee bastards...

Cheers!

P.S. I am a Seattle Mariner fan.

the need

i felt a sudden need to post several of my pictures from the past....an one from a couple of days ago. some have titles, others don't. my theroy is this: if i look at a photo that i have taken and a name jumps out at me, i use it. if nothing strikes my fancy, it typically will never have a name...other than the one the camera assigns it. i can only think of a few images that i have, at some later date, renamed.

if you think about it, what's out there is always the same. it never alters. it lives in a constate state of changless bliss. it only becomes inturrepted, mis-understood and judged into whatever our minds make of it. that is what makes us unique creates. we are the same thing physically, but when it comes to perception...you are you and you alone. there is no one that sees what you see.

3rd of July

I wasn't pleased with any of the fireworks pictures that I snapped during my family's celebration of being an American...(side note: I am sad to say that as I see it, being an American is all about blowing shit up). But, just before dusk, my brother-in-law and I took a walk-a-about thru the orchard. We chatted for a moment at Oster's edge and then along came the berry shaker...

the 'ole barn is a lovely place...it will be a sad day when she finally makes her way to Mother Earth.

just a thought...

would politicans play their
silly little game
if no one was there to watch
and cheer them on?
