moments like these

I wrote this a few weeks ago and had it posted on another blog. After realizing that it didn't fit in with the over-all theme of said blog, I removed it and it's home is here...

----

sound of pounding rain against my roof woke me from my slumber this morning. i lay there, perfectly still with my eyes held tightly shut, listening to the beginning of the day and knowing that it will be the best part. all is quiet...no cars with their zoomings, no dogs with their barkings, no obnoxius alram clocks with their sqwakings...only falling water droplets from the grey clouds that loom above. what seems like hours pass and i untuck myself from my bed roll and make my way to the window. the winds from the west appear to me in the form of swaying of trees. pushing the clouds along, a patch of blue sky with joyous rays of sun peer through. i can only stare for a moment at the wonderous display of glory that the heavens have shown me before it's beauty is consumed again by rain.

whatever part of time and space you may find yourself in, you will soon enough know that his story begins here. it's not a grand story loaded with epic battles, tragic deaths and new found loves, but one on a more simple scale. one lived from to day to day and filled with questions that have no answers.

he finds himself trapped within himself and his brain shackled by the constant static of the outside world. his only thoughts are the questions that were mentioned above. yes, those pesky little buggers that are indeed chalk-full of common sense, but still lack any answers. try as he might, no other thoughts come too him. his struggle for the answers keeps him imprisoned in his time. his own time. he doesn't even know what that really is.
